CV Editing Lead

The Skills Development Program actively assists beneficiaries at a key stage of the process of finding a job, including ensuring that beneficiaries receive CVs. The Program provides individualized support in this regard by connecting beneficiaries with trained volunteers in a collaborative process. As the CV Editing Lead, you would be responsible for assuring that the CV editing process runs smoothly from beginning to end, and work closely together with the Skills Development Coordinator. You will be communicating with community members to deliver the CVs the volunteers will create. This is a fundamental part of the services we offer, that create a huge impact in community members´ job applications process. 

We don’t expect you to have prior experience, there will be detailed training beforehand and constant support. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Keep track of the entire CV process with each community member, and ensure that all CVs are Edited, Translated and Delivered in a reasonable timeframe.
  • Keep on track with the delivery time goal.
  • Monitor that CV sessions have taken place.
  • Proofread CVs, make corrections and ensure quality of CVs writing.
  • Communicate, when needed, with volunteers. 
  • Approve and send finalized CVs to community members. 
  • Coordinate the translation of CVs.
  • Manage the ‘CV clinics and delivery’ tracking tool.
  • Keep information about CVs updated on Employment database 
  • Update training material and CV templates whenever applicable.  
  • Work closely with the Skills Development Coordinator to improve the structure of CV Editing  
  • When needed, lead training sessions for newly recruited volunteers.  
  • Work with Skills Development Coordinator and service supervisors to plan and execute regular training sessions with volunteers.
  • Support Skills Guides with any CV related difficulties or queries they may have.  
  • Whenever possible, participate in team and LP activities. 

Requirements

  • Fluency in English is mandatory. Fluency in Portuguese is highly valued. Other language skills are also valued. 
  • Availability to come to the LP office once per week. 
  • Excellent written communication skills. 
  • Self-motivated and excellent in time management 
  • Respect for the beneficiary confidentiality. 
  • Responsible, reliable and committed person.  
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to record and organize all necessary documentation.

Time Commitment: 8-10 hours/week in a hybrid model (at least once a week at the Lisbon Project office) – 6 months commitment
