Expired passes are valid during the State of Emergency in Lisbon (COVID-19)

This measure covers the Viva Lisboa Pass and the Social+, 4-18 and Sub-23 transport cards.

The Viva Lisboa Card and the Social+, 4-18 and Sub-23 transport cards that stopped being valid after the 23rd of February or that would have expired during the State of Emergency will remain valid.

In the statement, the Metropolital Area of Lisbon affirms that the Lisboa Viva card and the profiles ”that expire starting with the 23rd of February, or that would have expired during the State of Emergency, will reamin valid, and they can be aquired without face-to-face procedures”.

The measure was taken keeping in mind the existing social context and will be applied during the time of the State of Emergency, extended by 15 more days (until the 17th of April) or while the imposed restrictive measures are in force. According to AML, in the public transports, the same rules will be applied for other types of documents, in order to avoid travel and user contact, between and with other workers that must accomplish such tasks, for public health reasons.
