From Hand To Hand: Pop-Up Store

From Hand To Hand: Pop-Up Store

Building a new life in a different country is not easy. At the Lisbon Project, we noticed that several of our community members still lack many essential living items, such as clothes, shoes, blankets, furniture and kitchenware. Our Benevolence team works tirelessly searching for quality donations to meet as many of these needs as possible.

At the end of every month, our amazing Benevolence Program organizes a Pop-Up Store that is open to all our community members, who can then collect as many items as they need at that moment. We have found that this concept of social store made our beneficiaries feel more respected and dignified, as it allows them to choose which items serve them best. In addition, the Pop-Up Store serves as an opportunity for the volunteers and the community members to meet and get to know each other better. During challenging and lonely times, we want to remind our community that they are not forgotten!

In October’s Pop-Up Store, we were able to assist 38 community members and their families, which was a huge success! This was only possible thanks to our generous donors and our eight amazing volunteers that handled all the logistics.
