If you can’t feed a hundred people, then feed just one
In March 2020 the COVID-19 pandemic unexpectedly disrupted our lives and was relentless in its impact on the country. The Lisbon Project team quickly realized its immense consequences on the migrant and refugee community. Increasingly vulnerable due to a variety of social factors, it was not long before many of our beneficiaries started lacking basic necessities.
Launched on the 1st of April 2020, our Taste of Hope campaign aimed to provide 30 weekly hampers with food and essential during a period of four months. We were overwhelmed with the response, surpassing our financial target of €20,000 and assisting over 180 households. Not only were we able to provide basic food support to more people, but we also used surplus funds to purchase internet bundles and tablets for students whose education was now entirely online. The Taste of Hope Campaign was a symbol of solidarity and compassion. Our volunteers were heroes in braving the unknown virus to shop, pack and deliver food items to the homes of beneficiaries during the quarantine! We are so thankful to everyone who made this happen.

We would like to thank Stone Capital for their generous donation of €10,000 to this campaign!
