"Two years ago, I was looking for volunteering opportunities for myself and for people at Microsoft. When I came across the Lisbon Project (thanks to a friend who volunteered there), I knew it was the right fit!

 

I was immediately inspired by its vision, particularly the strong focus on community and belonging, which resonates deeply with all of us. I believe that getting involved firsthand, rather than just donating from a distance, is how the company should contribute to the Lisbon Project. Proximity builds empathy, and I’ve aimed to support the core causes of the Lisbon Project by actively participating and encouraging others to see its beauty and the fulfillment it brings.

 

Since our partnership began, we have brought over 40 people to volunteer at the Lisbon Project. I've witnessed how eye-opening and joyful the experience can be. Additionally, understanding the effort and funding required to keep such an operation running has made us appreciate the impact of each donation and volunteering hour, realizing that every small gesture can make a big difference when combined."
