Outdoor Fitness: Staying Connected and Healthy
The Lisbon Project aims to provide our community with diverse opportunities to improve their physical and mental health. Physical exercise is an important part of a healthy lifestyle, as it prevents health problems, builds strength, boosts energy, and can help reduce stress.
For more than half a year, the Lisbon Project has been collaborating with PEAK Training in providing outdoor training sessions that are open to any member of the Lisbon Project community, including volunteers. They take place every Wednesday in different public parks throughout Lisbon, and help people find motivation to stay connected and feel energised! All this is possible thanks to our amazing volunteer trainer Filipe, and the fantastic mild temperatures we experience in Lisbon all year round!
What is PEAK Training?
Peak Training is an outdoor training project that was created to promote the advantages of training outdoors. The trainers at PEAK Training are convinced that there are many more benefits to training outside besides the actual exercise. Studies have shown that spending more time outside increases the production of Vitamin D, the production of Serotonin, improves sleep and the immune system, and has a relaxing and calming effect.
So, if you are a member of the Lisbon Project community, please join on Wednesdays at 12PM! To receive details of the location, send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
