Pop-Up Store Volunteer

The Pop-Up store the social store at the Lisbon Project under the care of the Benevolence Program, a space where beneficiaries have the opportunity to come and collect any items they need, this varies from household items to clothing items as well as toys.  

As a Pop-Up Store Volunteer, you will have the opportunity to work alongside a team that is creating a meaningful impact on the lives of refugees and migrants in Lisbon.  

Supporting our beneficiaries through their search of items at our Pop-Up Store as well as setting up and taking down the Pop-Up Store. 

You will be in close contact with the beneficiaries that visit the store and will be able to create community whilst serving and helping.  

You may help the baby supply lead taking care of the setting up and handing out such supplies. 

The Pop-Up Store Volunteer will work closely with the Benevolence Program Manager, Program Director, Benevolence team, ensuring that program goals and beneficiary’s individual needs are met. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Be available to carry out the setting up and/or taking down of the Pop-Up Store. 
  • Be present and provide guidance and help, to any questions beneficiaries may have regarding different items.
  • Provide a pleasant environment to everyone that attends the Pop-Up Store
  • Keep the store organised throughout the he opening of the Pop-Up Store 

Requirements:

  • Fluent in English and Portuguese; other language skills are valued. 
  • Detail-oriented and efficient. 
  • Ability to effectively organize and prioritize work demands. 
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills. 
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team with enthusiasm, initiative and creativity.

Volunteer Reports to: Benevolence Program Manager

Time Commitment: Minimum of 3 hours a month, for a minimum of 6 months.
