Benevolence manager's assistant

Time Commitment: 10 - 15 hours a week, for a minimum of 6 months.

summary:


As the Lisbon Project’s Benevolence Program Assistant you will have the opportunity to work alongside a team that is creating meaningful impact on the lives of refugees and migrants in Lisbon. In the Benevolence Program, we try to search for quality donations to meet the material needs of our community.

Your main responsibilities include supporting the Benevolence Manager, planning, coordinating specific items requests, focusing on the sustainability of the program, team building, data and reporting and engagement.

You will work with the Benevolence Program Manager to ensure beneficiaries receive support with clothes, household appliances and furniture they need to start their new life in Portugal.

You will support in the coordination of the Benevolence team to organise collecting and delivering of donated items, getting them directly to the homes of refugees and migrants who need them.

The Benevolence Program Assistant will work closely with the Benevolence Program Manager, Program Director and Benevolence team ensuring that program goals and beneficiary’s individual needs are met.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Coordinate and/or execute the transportation of donated goods.

  • Organize monthly pop-up store across the last Saturday of every month.

  • Support in organising and distributing quarterly campaign

  • Provide individualized support to members of the Lisbon Project community.

  • Gather program outcomes data and measure results;

  • Maintain detailed records of all activities and assessments on the Lisbon Project’s database

  • Monitor incoming and outgoing donations

  • Establish communication and partnerships with organizations that provide material support to migrants and refugees in Portugal


Requirements:


  • Fluent in English, other language skills are valued.

  • Strong Excel skills

  • Detail-oriented and efficient.

  • Ability to effectively organize and prioritize work demands.

  • Strong interpersonal communication skills.

  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team with enthusiasm, initiative and creativity
