summary:
Kids Explore is a regular creative social activity aimed at migrant and refugee school going children between the ages of 5 and 12 years old. As a Kids Explore Volunteer, you will be responsible to assist in a variety of activity related duties, such as planning and attending social gatherings with the children.. The social gatherings can include but are not limited to creative arts, local excursions, sports activities and more.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Planning and attending regular creative activities with kids between the ages of 5 and 12 years old.
Attend all relevant Lisbon Project meetings and trainings for volunteers.
Update supervisor with challenges and ideas.
Ensure safety of children at all times.
Be punctual and communicate if a problem rises.
Address inappropriate and disciplinary issues promptly.
Ensure that children’s varying needs and interests are met.
Requirements:
Must have experience and passion with working with children.
Interpersonal communication skills, including effective listening.
Cultural awareness and ability to interact with people from different cultures, genders, religions, and backgrounds.
Fun, up-beat, and positive attitude.
Must be available on weekends.
Police Clearance Certificate required upon acceptance of application
